The East Sydney Hotel exudes charm with its classic decor and vintage antiques. I loved the self-service tea and coffee bar in the hallway, and the shared bathrooms were impeccably clean. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from parks and public transportation.
Some street noise at night.

The self-service tea and coffee station delivers a refreshing morning perk with its variety. The location offers easy access to local highlights and vibrant neighborhoods.
The noise level skyrockets during the night, coming from the bar and function room below. Expect to hear every shout and beat until the early hours. Bathrooms require some TLC, often with undrained water on the floor and no towels for drying hands. The lack of air conditioning and the tiny beds may leave taller guests feeling cramped and overheated.

Solo traveler cozy spot
Had a blast playing darts with the crew! Brought my own set, but they offered darts too. Really loved the vibe, the bartender was super friendly like we'd known each other for years.
It wasn't exactly a bargain, but the experience felt worth it.

Honestly, i almost considered giving this hotel a decent review, but the shared bathrooms were an absolute nightmare. I waited every morning forever. And seriously, no air conditioning? It's 2023! I would've expected a complimentary upgrade or something to MAKE UP for it, but that didn't happen. Just a disgrace, really.

I really enjoyed my time here, especially sipping tea in the cozy lounge and discovering the cute little setup for plates and utensils. It was great unwinding with some live music and enjoying a fun darts game after a busy day. The only hiccup was that my room wasn't serviced during my stay, which was a bit surprising, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. 🏨

The location is unbeatable, just a short walk to parks and restaurants. The self-service tea and coffee bar in the hallway adds a nice touch. Noise from the bar below was good. The shared bathrooms, while clean, struggled with proper drainage, inconvenient during peak times.

I had a fantastic stay that felt mad really like a cozy retreat, with comfortable rooms and all the amenities I needed. The location was perfect-everything was walkable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating throughout my visit.
The breakfast offerings could use more variety, especially fresh fruit.

The vibe was lively, with a great darts area to enjoy after a day out with my husband. We even got to indulge in some fresh Sydney rock oysters at the pub downstairs, and they were delicious!
For dads, it would be great if the noise from the bar could be toned down.
